FRENCH WRITERS: A good selection of four documents signed by French Writers, comprising Ernest La Jeunesse (1874-1917) Writer and Caricaturist. An excellent signed and inscribed 7 x 11 original sketch, showing Catulle Mendes standing in a three quarter length profile pose. Signed `Ernest la Jeunesse´ and inscribed to Alfred Capus. Together with A,L.S., one page, 8vo, to Paul Hervieu. La Jeunesse asks for two seats to attend La Course au Flambeau, a 1901 comedy; Catulle Mendes (1841-1909) Writer and Poet. A.L.S., one page, 8vo, to a colleague referring to a page of his new work; Alfred Capus (1857-1922) Writer and Journalist. L.S., with autograph annotation, one page, 4to, 12th to Catulle Mendes; Also including Jane Catulle Mendes, daughter of Catulle Mendes. A.L.S., one page, 8vo, dated 1847. G to VG, 5 £100-150
