LOUIS XII: (1462-1515) King of France 1498-1515. An excellent L.S., Louis, one page, 4to, Melun, 22nd October, n.y., [1507] to the Tyrol Chancelier, in old French. The King informs his correspondent that he has instructed Counselor M. Gymel to visit and bring his message to the King of Romans. Countersigned by Guillaume Bochetel. Professionally double matted in brown-beige and green, framed in gilt wood and glazed to an overall size of 12 x 12.5 VG £1000-1500 . Maximilien I (1459-1519) King of the Romans 1486-1519. Also known as King of the Germans. Holy Roman Emperor 1493-1519. Antoine de Gymel was sent as special envoy to Rome by King Louis XII in 1507 Guillaume Bochetel (?-1558) French Diplomat.
