CENTURION OCTAVIO & PHILIP III: Octavio Centurion (1589?-1653) Genoese Banker. Centurion was the most important financial ally of Spanish Kings Philip III and Philip IV, & King Philip III (1578-1621) King of Spain 1598-1621. Genoa supported the Spanish monarchy since the Catholic Kings time, with illustrious Genoese citizens welcomed by the Spanish Kings such as Christophus Columbus, Andrea Doria, etc.. Octavio Centurion financed with millions of ducados the imperial plans of the Spanish Kings. The hand written document, eighteen pages, folio, is an official and notary document of a loan given by Centurion to King Philip III and the Kingdom of Spain. Signed by Centurion `Otavio Centurion´, and by King Philip III `Yo el Rey´ to the front page upper right corner and to some inside ones. An interesting Kingdom loan document. With a hole to the centre of the pages, not affecting the signatures. F £150-200
