BOULT ADRIAN: (1889-1983) English conductor. Correspondence collection of twenty-four A.Ls.S., Adrian C Boult (4), Adrian (7), one unsigned and the others with his initials, each written to the versos of picture postcards and a few correspondence cards, various places (Genoa, San Francisco, Birmingham, London, Isle of Wight etc.), 1927-79 (several undated or with indistinct post marks), all to Miss. Linda Whitehouse (later Mrs. Williams). Boult writes a largely social series of letters, thanking his correspondent for their letters, good luck messages and cuttings, in a few referring to concerts, rehearsals and singers, and also commenting on the places he is visiting. All are contained in one envelope hand addressed by Boult and post marked 2nd January 1980. Some light age wear and a few minor faults, G to generally VG, 24
