READ HERBERT: (1893-1968) English art Historian and Philosopher. Read was an Anarchist and one of the earliest English writers to take notice of Existentialism. T.L.S., Herbert Read, in bold turquoise blue ink, one page, oblong 4to, Stonegrave, York, 26th July 1960, on his personal printed stationery, to Swiss Journalist Anthony Krafft. Read states in part `I enclose the English text of the rapport I made (in absentia) to the AICA Congress in Brasilia
