The Barcelona Haggadah – Exquisite Facsimile
The Barcelona Haggadah, a facsimile published by Facsimile Editions. With a commentary volume, including an English translation of the text. London, 1992. Copy no. 91/500 (the facsimile was printed in a total of 550 copies; 50 Ad Personam copies were numbered I-L).
An exquisite, accurate facsimile of the Barcelona Haggadah, a 14th century illuminated manuscript. Printed on thick imitation vellum paper and bound in leather. The raised burnished gold in the original was reproduced by laying metal leaf by hand.
Facsimile: [161] leaves. Commentary volume: 175 pages. Approx. 26 cm. Original slipcase, 28 cm. Good condition. Minor damage to spines. Wear and damage to slipcase.
