Aryeh Navon – Two Caricatures Banned by British Censorship
Two caricatures drawn by the artist Aryeh Navon for the newspaper "Davar" and were banned by the British censorship. Israel, 1930s-40s.
Aryeh Navon (Kliegman) (1909-1996), an Israeli painter and illustrator, stage-set designer, artist of comics and book illustrator. Won numerous prizes, including the Israel Prize for Stage Arts.
10X22.5 cm; 22X16.5 cm. Good condition. Stains. Mounted on cardboard sheets.
