Bad Kodesh – Warsaw, 1871 – Letter from the Baal HaTanya to Rabbi Levi Yitzchak of Berditchev and Letter from the Mitteler Rebbe of Lubavitch to the Ruler of Belarus
Bad Kodesh, two letters and Chassidic homily on Megillat Ruth, by the rebbes of Chabad. Warsaw, 1871.
Bad Kodesh comprises a letter from the Mitteler Rebbe to the ruler of Belarus, after being imprisoned in Vitebsk in 1825; a letter from the Baal HaTanya to R. Levi Yitzchak of Berditchev, following his release from prison in St. Petersburg; and a homily on Megillat Ruth (the identity of the author of this homily is unclear).
10 leaves. 15 cm. Good condition. Stains. Leaves trimmed, with damage to text in several places. Handwritten inscriptions. New leather binding.
