Beit Ya'akov in Europe – 1929-1935 – Three Pamphlets
Three pamphlets published by Beit Ya'akov Center in Vienna:
* Beth Jakob 1928, 1929, Frankfurt, 1929.
Essays and photographs concerning Beit Ya'akov operation in Europe. German.
* History of Beth Jacob Girls' Schools, Vienna, 1933. Compositions and photographs about Beit Ya'akov operation in Europe.
* Tätigkeitsbericht der Beth Jacob Zentrale, Vienna, 1935. German. Report about Beit Ya'akov in Poland, Lithuania and Romania.
Beit Ya'akov Schooling system for Jewish girls was founded early in the 20th century by Sarah Schenirer in Kraków who opened a school for Haredi girls and named it "Beit Ya'akov". This school turned into a movement (this was a novelty based on a ruling by "Hafetz Haim", who stated that the prohibition to teach women Torah and Talmud is irrelevant to the present generation).
3 booklets. Size varies. Good overall condition.
