Ceramic tile, with illustration of Rotterdam Synagogue (on Boompjes Street). Netherlands, 20th century.
Inscribed at top of tile: "Rotterdam Synagoge (1725) Boompjes", on reverse side name of artist, and inscription: "Synagoge Vֳ³ֳ³r 14 Mei 1940", indicating the destruction of the synagogue by the Germansג€™ bombing of Rotterdam on May 14, 1940.
