Derech Emunah, parts 1-2, on the Torah and holidays (Bereshit, Shmot and Passover Haggada), according to the Zohar and Hassidism. Rabbi Menachem Mendel (Stern) Av Beit Din of Siget. Tchernovitz, (1856-1857). Only edition.
The author: among the great Maramureş rabbis and among the prominent disciples of the Yismach Moshe, the Magid from Koznitz and Rabbi Mendeli from Kosov. Ordained for the rabbinate by Rabbi Meshulam Igra and served as Dayan in the Beit Din of Rabbi Ya’akov of Lisa. In 1802 was appointed as Av Beit Din of Siget and was the first chief rabbi of the entire region of Maramureş. His rebbe Rabbi Mendeli from Kosov wanted to appoint him as rebbe, however, he refused and accepted the mastery of the son of his rebbe, Rabbi Chaim from Kosov. He passed away in the year 1834 (for additional information related to him see, Encyclopedia of Hassidism, 3, pages 141-142).
[4], 52, [2] leaves; 50 leaves. 24 cm. Good-fair condition, stains and signs of wear. Fine cloth binding, unoriginal.
Rare. At end of first part: 2 pages which are not included in most copies, error chart and leaf 9 which was reprinted with changes in language and in smaller letters, these pages are not listed in the Bibliography CDs and does not appear in Otzar HaChocmah.
