Twenty-four documents from the editorial staff of this periodical, which was printed (irregularly) for 83 years (1851-1939) and was one of the most prominent periodicals in the Jewish world. The documents presented here are from its last years, when the editor was Isaac Heinman (until 1938), and from its final year, when the Journal was edited by Dr. Leo Beck, until its closure by the Nazi government. The collection contains printed postcards sent to subscribers, catalogues and announcements regarding the publication of books (the writings of Moses Mendelssohn), a regulations booklet, printed leaflets and single sheets, annual reports, Probebogen - a promotional booklet informing about the publication of a scientific edition of Tractate Brachot, and more. Size varies, good to very good condition.
