AN ILLUMINATED OTTOMAN PRAYER BOOK, 19TH CENTURY
The manuscript features a series of supplications and blessings written in clear Ottoman naskh script, with alternating red and black inks used for visual clarity and liturgical emphasis. It opens with an intricate headpiece in gold and floral motifs, a hallmark of Ottoman manuscript art, framed by delicate red and green ruling. The pages are laid out in a two-column format, aligned within gold and colour borders.
