The Texan Collection, featured in the PM portion of this auction, was entirely put together with
East Texas Oil Money! East Texas oil dates back to the 1930’s, a time that people referred to as
"the gusher age" or the "Texas oil boom".
It was unprecedented. A period of dramatic change and economic growth in Texas.
The discovery that began the boom was near Beaumont Texas, the find was unprecedented in its size. The gentleman who consigned this collection can trace his ancestors back to this find.
He has been collecting for more than half of his life. His collection boasts an impressive display
of variety. He was a man of broad taste when it comes to the type of coin he collected.

We will auction lots 5761-7560 on Day 1, 7561-9360 on Day 2, and 9361-11,160 on Day 3.
The AM Portion of the auction will begin at 10:00am and will end at 7:30pm. This portion will be auctioned by Heidi, Jordan, Shanny, Riley, and Conri.
The PM Portion of the auction (The higher value lots/The Texas Collection) will begin at 7:30pm and will end when all of the lots have closed for that day. This portion will be auctioned by Corey and Sandi.

2006-2008 Zimbabwe 10 Million Dollars (ZWN 2nd Dollar) Emergency Bearer Check Notes P# 55 Grades vf+. Hyperinflation in Zimbabwe is an ongoing crisis. While yearly inflation was often measured in the hundreds of percentage points in the early 2000s, from 2007 to 2008 it was measured in the millions, and then trillions. The first Zimbabwean dollar (ZWD) was abandoned in 2005 and replaced with the second (ZWN). The second had to be abandoned again in August 2008, and its replacement currency (ZWR) became obsolete due to ongoing hyperinflation only 6 months later, resulting in a third replacement currency (ZWL). The ZWL was formally demonetised in 2015, and Zimbabwe generally relies on a variety of foreign currencies for local trade.
