2024 Silver Kookaburra 1 oz .999 Silver Australia $1. The 2024 Perth Mint Kookaburra features a striking new design as well as .9999 fine purity. It features a kookaburra in flight over a gorge with a snake in its talons. Obverse: Features the Dan Thorne effigy of His Majesty King Charles III and the monetary denomination. Reverse: Created by artist Sean Rogers, the reverse depicts a kookaburra in flight over a gorge with a snake in its talons. Also included in the design is the inscription "KOOKABURRA" and The Perth Mint’s "P125" mint mark, celebrating its 125th anniversary. The 2024 year-date, as well as the weight and purity, is included in the design. Each coin’s reverse includes a security feature of a micro-laser engraved letter within the coin's design. It is only detectable under a magnifying glass. Sovereign silver coin backed by the Australian government.
