Beit Ha'Bechirah by the Me'iri on Pirkei Avot - Wein, 1855 - Special Edition - the Copy of Rabbi Noach Gavriel Segal Av Beit Din of Kerning, the Disciple of the "Chatam Sofer", with Handwritten Glosses by his Son Rabbi Yehuda
Vowelized Pirkei Avot. Around the text, the "Beit Ha'Bechirah" commentary. By Rabbi Menachem ben Shlomo Meiri. Wein, 1855.
With comments and the author's biography and a review of his books by Reb "Zalman … Gottlieb Stern Rechnitz".
In this special edition, which was printed with the author's biography, there is also an important review of the Meiri's books, which were published little by little during the years. Reb Zalman Gottlieb, who wrote the review, owned more than a hundred of the Meiri's manuscripts, as he writes in his preface to the book.
The copy before us has a green cover with an additional title page with an architectural frame. On its left side, an interesting advertisement by the publisher.
On the second title page, a signature: Gavriel".

Among the leaves of the book, several scholarly glosses, most likely in the handwriting of Rabbi Yehuda. At the end of the book, the booklet "Divrei Emet" is bound - Yiddish customs and laws of purifying the dead.
