A Long Religious Letter Handwritten and Signed by Rabbi Moshe Stern Av Beit Din of Polien
A long religious letter (8 pp.) handwritten and signed by Rabbi Moshe Stern. The letter was sent to his future son-in-law Rabbi Chaim. The letter is about "Questions are asked and lectures are given on the laws of Passover for thirty days before Passover " and the laws of Yoreh Deah.
Rabbi Moshe Stern (1852-1923) was born in Poland and as a youth traveled to Hungary. He was ordained by the author of the "Yitav Lev" Av Beit Din of Siget and served as a rabbi in several towns and cities.
His son-in-law is the well-known genius Rabbi David Sperber Av Beit Din of Brashov , who introduces in his book "Afarkesta De'Anya" some of his father-in-law's Torah novellae.
