A telegram with a handwritten request handwritten by Rabbi Yechezkel Lowenstein to the Chazon Ish: "I ask that you pary for my grandson Yehuda Zvi … Yechezkel Lowenstein". 15 words handwritten by him in pencil.
On the reverse side of the telegram, the Chazon Ish wrote four names for prayer. The script has slightly faded.
Rabbi Yechezkel Lowenstein (1885-1974) was one of the greatest leaders of the Mussar Movements. He studied at the Kelm Yeshiva and was a spiritual manager of the Mir Yeshiva of Poland, Shanghai and Jerusalem and a spiritual manager of the Ponovezh Yeshiva.
