Aryeh Moskowitz, aka M. Aryeh, was born in 1930 in Romania. He illustrated more than 8000 books and some of these illustrations, such as Kofiko, Dani Din, Chasamba, became inalienable assets of the children of Israel.
Aryeh was a Holocaust survivor who came to Israel as an illegal immigrant. He was invited by Prime Minister David Ben Gurion to illustrate the stories of the bible for children. Ben Gurion took interest in and commented on each and every illustration. According to Ben Gurion's request, Aryeh also designed several of the emblems of the IDF.
