"Repairs of the Eilat Naval Ship" - Handwritten Professional Military Opinion
A handwritten document. "Comments regarding repairs of the Eilat naval ship". Three leaves (written on one of their sides)handwritten and signed by Captain Efrayim Tzuk. With erasures and additions handwritten by him.
Among others, he writes: "In my opinion, the ship today is technically not ready as a combat unit". He then lists the reasons for this and his conclusion.
Enclosed is an official document, "Commitment to permanent service in the IDF" with the details of Efrayim Tzuk (Tzuker) and signed by him. a signature-like stamp of the Defense Minister. 1953.
Efrayim Tzuk was born in 1922 in Germany. In 1935, he immigrated to the Land of Israel with his parents. He was accepted to the first class of the Naval School of Haifa, yet before his graduation, in 1941, joined the crew of the British ship "Verbania".
