On the title page of the book, a Hebrew signature: "the young Chaim Yuda Deutsch Segal here in the holy community of Hust …"
Throughout the book, approximately 15 scholarly glosses in his handwriting.
Rabbi Chaim Yuda Segal Deutsch (1876-1938),a genius and Hassid, Dayan and Moreh Tzeddek in Makó for 35 years. a disciple of the author of "Arugat Ha'Bosem". Was close to the Rebbe Rabbi Yechezkel of Szeniawa and the Rebbe of Belz. Author of "Mayim Chaim", "Ahavat Chaim", "Ruach Chaim", "Be'er Yehuda" and the "Kol Yehuda" Passover Haggadah.
Condition: Good. The title page and a few additional leaves are slightly worn.
