A letter on a postcard sent from Florence on the eve of Rosh Ha'Shana 1931.
The content of the letter: Cassuto thanks the addressee for his book, "All lovers of our Torah and literature should be grateful that he bothered to publish his excellent composition which was hidden until now in the darkness of libraries …"
Cassuto signs: "Wishing you Ketivah Ve'Chatimah Tovah … M.D. Cassuti".
Rareness: letters by Cassuto are extremely rare and are almost never seen in auctions.
Size of item: 87 years.
Moshe David Cassuto (1883-1951) was a rabbi in Florence and a biblical scholar at the Hebrew University who wrote a comprehensive commentary on the bible.
