MUSIC AND THEATER - CAMERANI Bartolomeo Andrea (1735 - 1816) - Comédie Italienne - Interesting autograph letter signed, not dated by the Italian theater actor. An actor in Giuseppe Lapy's company at the San Luca theatre in Venice, he was then first actor at the San Giovanni Grisostomo theatre. In 1767 he was called to the Comédie Italienne, where he played the role of Scapino; he was also an administrator at the Opéra Comique. To the composer Stanislas Champein (1753 - 1830), concerning services related to the Marquis de Sade: “…Je t’adresse avec une entière confiance la citoyenne Quenet – c’est une amie de ma femme, qui demeure à St. Oeun, et qui loge chez Elle une personne qui à une mauvaise affaire au Bureau Central – La personne dont je te parle, Bon Amy, est le C.te Sade, homme de lettre, qui a fait jadis quelque Comédie pour votre Théâtre. Enfin, Bon amy, je te prie d’écouter la C.ne Quenet, et de lui rendre toutes les services qui sont en ton pouvoir…”. 1 p. In-4. - This lot is located in EU.
