MUSIC AND THEATER - GIORDANO Umberto (1867 - 1948) - Italian composer - Autograph letter signed, dated ‘29-11- 1942 XXI’ by the Italian composer who has linked his name to a number of operas that have entered the international repertoire. Addressed to Guido Guerrini ‘Director of the R. Conservatorio Cherubini - Florence’. The letter certainly deals with a ceremony conferring prizes. Giordano says he is “most favourable” to the initiative and advises: “…Dovresti però scrivere anche a Cilea, Pizzetti e specialmente a Mascagni vice presidente della classe. Se non si è tutti d'accordo i premi non si possono conferire…”. 1 p. on letterhead of the Reale Accademia d'Italia and with envelope also signed and signed on the back. - This lot is located in EU.
