Stage name of Joseph Levitch, American actor and film director (Newark 1926 - Las Vegas 2017). In a duo with Dean Martin, he became famous by playing a farcical character with a typical and singular way of moving; after the couple broke up (1957), L. also worked as a director. Among the films he directed and starred in, "The Nutty Professor" (The Nutty Professor, 1963) is particularly successful. In 1999, he was awarded the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement at the Venice Film Festival.
Dean Martin, stage name of Dino Paul Crocetti (Steubenville, June 7, 1917 - Beverly Hills, December 25, 1995), was an American singer, actor and comedian of Italian origin.
Considered one of the most popular and enduring American entertainers of the 20th century, due to his charm and charisma he was nicknamed "The King of Cool".
Remembered for his television and film career as well as his music career, Dean Martin is considered one of the greatest singers in the history of music and is often cited, along with contemporaries such as Frank Sinatra and Pat Boone, as one of the most influential crooners of all time.
