Romano-Celtic Horse Heads Brooch, Circa 2nd ,3rd Century AD
A bronze-silvered plated brooch formed as four profile horse-heads radiating from a central ring-and-dot, each with a ring-and-dot eye and notched mouth. Pin and a catch plate to the reverse; 14.18 grams, 48mm /44mm. Fine condition.
Acquired from a USA collector, previously on the German Art market prior 2000s.
