Roman gold ring with a flat sectioned band inserted carnelian intaglio with a image of a standing bird; 3.55 grams, 22 mm max overall size, 21.56 mm internal diameter. Fine condition. From the private collection of a German gentleman, acquired on the UK art market around 2000s.
