M 40 mit Zweifarbenrauhtarnung, links das Hoheitszeichen der Luftwaffe, hinten im Nackenschirm die Seriennummer 31457 und seitlich wohl ET62 (Eisenwerke Thale, schlecht lesbar) eingestanzt, Kinnriemen aus Leder, Innenring aus Alu, dieser mit "Litzmannstadt 1943" gepunzt, braunes Lederlaschenfutter, Z 2-3, Gr. 55.

M 40 with two-colour grey camouflage, on the left the national emblem of the Luftwaffe, on the back of the neck peak the serial number 31457 and on the side probably ET62 (Eisenwerke Thale, badly legible) stamped, chinstrap of leather, inner ring of aluminium, this one with "Litzmannstadt 1943" punched, brown leather flap lining, Z 2-3, size 55.
