Мюд Мариевич Мечев (1929-2018) — российский художник-график, иллюстратор, пейзажист, народный художник Российской Федерации, член Российской Академии художеств. В 1957 году принят в члены Союза художников СССР. В 1978 году за графическое иллюстрирование «Калевалы» получил Государственную премию РСФСР имени И. Е. Репина с вручением медали Академии художеств СССР, правительство Финляндии наградило Орденом Белой розы и серебряной медалью Элиаса Лённрота.
