На обложке потёртости, мелкие пятна, надрывы по краям., изогнутость уголков. На сгибе надрывы и трещины. На титульном листе владельческая помета [<нрзб>] и карандашная помета. В блоке встречаются фоксинги, владельческие пометы, потрепанные края. На тыльной стороне издательской обложки печать книжного магазина.
Первое издание на русском языке. Главный шедевр Никколо Макиавелли — его работа «Государь» (Il Principe), известная в русских переводах также под названиями «Князь» и «Монарх». «Государь» – работа, которая систематизировала сведения о государстве и управлении им.
