A MUGHAL GEM-SET CARNELIAN SILVER-MOUNTED PENDANT, INDIA, 19TH CENTURY - The carnelian, of oval form, is profusely engraved with a central medallion containing an inscription. The border features further bands of inscriptions, set in a silver mounting and adorned with gemstones. Inscriptions: In the center, an invocation to Allah as 'O The Preserver,' surrounded by Surah al-Kursi. 7.7 by 7 cm.
