Rozhdestvenskiy Vasiliy Vasilyevich (1884, Tula – 1963, Moscow).
During 1900–1910 studied at Moscow College of Arts, Sculpture and Architecture. He was one of the founders of the Knave of Diamonds association. His creative development was much influenced by French cubists. Rozhdestvenskiy V.V. tended to establish cubism in his paintings through shapes of the objects. In early 1920-s Rozhdestvenskiy, like all other association members, was guided by artworks of old masters, and since late 1920-s returned to realistic painting. His works can be found in the Tretyakov State Gallery and the State Russian Museum.
