Shilov Aleksandr Maksovich (1943, Moscow).

Painter, graphic artist, portraitist. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. Honored Artist of the RSFSR. 2 People's Artist of the USSR, RSFSR. Member of the Russian Academy of Arts. In 1957-196 he studied at the art studio of the House of Pioneers of the Timiryazevsky district of Moscow. In 1968-1973 he studied at the Moscow State Art Institute named after V.I. Surikov. The graduation work was 4 portraits of astronauts (A.V. Shatalov and others). Since 1971, he has taken part in All-Union, republican, exhibitions in Moscow - ("Artists for the 50th anniversary of the formation of the USSR", "Soviet Portrait", "Young Guard of the Soviet Country", " On the 70th anniversary of the October Revolution", "Youth of Russia", etc.). He was awarded with the Orders "For Merit to the Fatherland" of the III, IV degree, Peter the Great, Francysk Skaryna, St. Alexander Nevsky of the I degree, "For Labor and Fatherland" of the I degree, "For Professional and business Reputation" of the II degree, "For Merit to Moscow", "Gold Star of Russia", "Pride of Russia", the Order of Honor, medals and other awards. In 1997, Shilov's personal gallery was opened in the center of Moscow. His personal exhibitions were held in Russia, France, Germany, Portugal, Canada, Japan, Kuwait, UAE, Yugoslavia, Belarus.
