Silis Nikolai Andreevich (1928 – 2018)
Soviet and Russian artist, monumental sculptor, avant-garde artist. Honored Artist of Russia. He created his own style of abstract image of female beauty. In 1953 he graduated from the Moscow State Art Pedagogical University. S.G. Stroganov. Together with former classmates Vadim Sidur and Vladimir Lemport, they created a creative association - LeSS. The association has a large number of monumental compositions made for state institutions not only in the Soviet Union, but also in foreign countries. Approximately 50 objects have been completed. Since 1954 he has been a member of the Moscow Union of Artists. Since 1956 he has been an exhibitor at many all-Union, regional and international exhibitions. The artist's works are kept in the State Tretyakov Gallery, MMSI, the Fund of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, as well as in other state museums and in private collections.
