Gavrilov Vladimir Vasilievich
(1929-1976)
Leningrad artist, painter, landscape painter.
In 1953 he graduated from the Higher Arctic Marine School named after S. O. Makarov. In 1953-1955 he studied at the Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture as an auditor under V. A. Gorb, I. A. Stepashkin, F. S. Pustovoitov, P. G. Korolev, in 1955-1957 at the Leningrad Art and Industrial University. Since 1961 he worked as an artist at the Museum of the Arctic and Antarctic, which allowed him to participate in polar expeditions and work on nature sketches.
Since 1962 - participant in exhibitions. Since 1972 - member of the Leningrad Union of Artists. The author's personal exhibitions were held in Leningrad (1962, 1963, 1965, 1971). The artist's works are presented in regional museums of Russia and numerous private collections.
