Zverkov Efrem Ivanovich (1921, Tver province - 2012).
People's Artist of the USSR. Corresponding Member of the USSR Academy of Arts. Laureate of the State Prize of the RSFSR in 1975. One of the founders of the "severe style". Studied at the Moscow State Art Institute named after V.I. Surikov under V.G. Tsyplakov, P.V. Malkov. Completed his diploma work "Children's Program" under the guidance of V.P. Efanov. Author of lyrical landscapes, genre compositions. Participant of exhibitions since 1953, permanent exhibitor of foreign exhibitions (in Czechoslovakia, Romania, Poland, Italy, France). Zverkov's personal exhibition was held in 1975 in Moscow. The artist's works are in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, and many regional museums.
