Soifertis Leonid Vladimirovich (1911, Kharkov – 1996, Moscow).
Soviet artist, graphic artist, author of genre compositions, caricaturist, illustrator. People's Artist of the USSR (1990). Corresponding member of the Academy of Arts of the RSFSR (since 1966). He studied at the Kharkov Art Institute (1928-1930), at the department for advanced training of artists at the Moscow State Art Institute under A.A. Radakova, P.I. Lvova, M.S. Rodionova. He collaborated with the magazines Smena, Ogonyok, and Krokodil (since 1934). Author of the series "Sevastopol Album" (1941-1942), "Sport" (1967-1970), "New Districts of Moscow" (1970s). Participant of numerous exhibitions. Works by L.V. Soyfertis are stored in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the Pushkin Museum im. A.S. Pushkin and in other museums, as well as in private collections in Russia and abroad.
