Eliseyev Konstantin Stepanovich (1890, Moscow – 1968, Moscow).
Graphic artists, theater designer, cinema designer, poster artist. Honored art worker of RSFSR. In 1910-1914 studied in the Drawing school of the Association of arts encouragement in Petersburg under I.Y. Bilibin, A.I. Tvorozhnikov. In 1918 studied at the Imperial Academy of Arts under V.V. Belyaev, than in the Higher State Art and Technical Studios (1922-1923). Worked in satirical drawing. Since the beginning of 1920-s drew caricatures on political and household topics for Moscow newspapers “Gudok” (1922-1968), “Prozhektor” (1923-1935), “Begemot” (1924-1928), “Krokodil” (1924-1968), etc. Decorated some performances: “At the Bottom” by A.M. Gorky (1920, together with S.M. Aisenshtein), “Dream on the Kurgan” by Y. Kupala, etc. Created sketches of theatre costumes at “Mosfilm” studio: “Alexandr Nevsky” (1938), and “Lenin in 1918” (1939). The works of the artists were exhibited at foreign exhibitions: Zagreb (1973), etc. Personal exhibitions were held in Moscow (1948, 1951, 1968), Minsk (1952), Yaroslavl (1954). The works of the artist are exhibited in many regional museums, as well as in private collections in Russia and abroad.
