Annenkov Yuri Pavlovich (1889, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky-1974, Paris).
Graphic artist, theater and film artist. The Annenkovs' dacha near St. Petersburg was located not far from the estate of I. E. Repin. Surrounded by creative people since childhood, the future artist became interested in drawing early on. In 1908 he studied in the studio of S.M. Seidenberg, where his fellow student was M. Z. Chagall, then in the studio of Ya. F. Tsionglinsky. In 1911, he went to Paris, where he continued his studies in the workshops of M. Denis and F. Vallotton, artists of the famous group "Nabi". In 1913 he returned to Russia. He was one of the organizers of OST (1921).
