Sudeikin Sergei Yurievich (1882, St. Petersburg - 1946, New York).
From 1897-1902 studied at MUZHVZ. In 1909 he entered the Academy of Arts in St. Petersburg. He began his creative activity with participation in the exhibition “Scarlet Rose”, held in 1904 in Saratov. Since 1905 he worked at the Moscow Experimental Theater - studio on the design of V. Meyerhold's performances. Since 1911, member of the World of Art association. Scenography greatly influenced his easel works. Sudeikin’s works reflected the worldview of the representatives of the “Silver Age”, embodied in theatricalization, blurring the lines between stage and life, reality and fiction. The artist’s works are in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, many regional museums, as well as in private collections.
