Sychkov Fedot Vasilyevich (1870, s. Kochelaevo, Penza province – 1958, Saransk).
People's Artist of the Mordovian ASSR (1955). Honored Artist of the Mordovian ASSR (1937) and the RSFSR (1950). In 1892-1895 he studied at the Drawing School of the Society for the Encouragement of Arts under Ya.F. Tsionglinsky in St. Petersburg. In 1895-1900 he studied at the Higher Art School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture at the Imperial Academy of Arts under N.D. Kuznetsov and A.O. Kovalevsky. He took private lessons from I.E. Repin. The artist's exhibitions were held in Moscow (1952, 1970) and other cities. His works are in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum.
