Lansere Evgeniy Evgenievich (1875, Pavlovsk -1946, Moscow).
He studied in Paris, at the private academies of Colarossi (1895-1896) and Julien (1896-1897), but was formed mainly under the influence of his uncle, the artist A. Benois, and his circle. He was one of the main figures of the artistic association “World of Art”. He worked as an illustrator and book designer, as a monumental artist, one of the creators of Soviet monumental painting. Lanceray was also a draftsman and watercolorist, a theater artist and a master of easel painting in various genres. Panels and lampshades E.E. Lansere is decorated with the buildings of the Kazansky railway station, the "Memorable Hall" of the Academy of Arts, and the Moscow Hotel. His works are kept in all leading museums in Russia, including the State Tretyakov Gallery and the State Russian Museum.
