Important copper of Saint Joseph with Child Jesus in Arms, Pedro Rodríguez de Miranda (Madrid, 1696/1706 - 1766), Spanish school of the 18th century - Signed and dated 1741. Oil on copper, framed measurements: 45 x 38 copper measurements: 32 x 25 cm. Pedro Rodríguez Miranda was a Spanish painter. He belongs to a generation of painters straddling the Spanish Baroque tradition and the influence of the French and Italian masters brought by Philip V to the Madrid court. He trained with his uncle Juan García de Miranda and, as his assistant, entered the palace in 1734 to restore the paintings in the royal collection, excelling in such tasks as he was appointed painter to the king in 1744. Of his preserved works, highlighting that of religious theme; An example of this and of his links with the Baroque school of Claudio Coello and Juan Carreño de Miranda.
