Oil on panel from the 17th century. Dimensions: 18x16 cm. This work depicts a lady belonging to the Dutch school. The painting reflects the skill in the use of colour and the detailed representation of textures, distinctive features of Dutch genre painting, which sought to capture not only the appearance, but also the essence and character of the model. The details of her attire, including feathers and jewellery, are indicative of her social status, while the subtle technique and soft lighting enhance the intimate atmosphere of the portrait. 18 x 16 cm.
