Oil on panel from the Florentine school of the 16th century depicting Saint Augustine. Dimensions: 16 x 13 cm. The work combines Renaissance influence with a devotional approach, highlighting the figure of the saint as an intellectual and spiritual reference for the Church. Saint Augustine is shown holding a chalice and a book, symbols of his theological importance. The careful rendering of the folds and the serene expression are characteristics of the Florentine style, influenced by the work of masters such as Andrea del Sarto and Fra Bartolomeo.
