Churrigueresque School of the 18th century - Four Solomonic columns with Eucharistic motifs, polychrome and gilded wood
Dimensions: 74 × 25 × 25 cm (each) Polychrome and gilded wood. Set of four 18th century Churrigueresque Solomonic columns, finely carved with Eucharistic motifs. Each column features a rich spiral vegetal decoration with bunches of grapes and vine leaves, symbolising the blood of Christ. The polychromy that adorns the columns provides a chromatic intensity that, together with the gilding, creates a highly theatrical visual effect. These columns, with their serpentine movement, represent the splendour of Baroque architecture in its most decorative expression.
