Purchasing jewelry and gems: The auction house provides a description of the diamonds and gems to the best of its understanding and based on the knowledge and experience of the auction house experts. However, the auction house does not undertake to accurately describe the items in terms of stone size, color, level of cleanliness, condition (including description of defects) and whether it has undergone treatment or painting and the buyer is responsible for inspecting the diamonds and gems before sale. For the avoidance of doubt, no option will be given to cancel the purchase of jewelry, diamonds and gems or return them after purchase, even if the description does not match the item.
In this auction like the previous auctions, unsold items are not offered for direct sale after auction ends! please bid and participate during the auction!
The sale commission is 20% + VAT on the commission only. in a week time from the auction.
A fee of 5% will be added to late payments.

We try to get the deliveries out of the gallery within two business days at the latest. The delivery time of the items depends on the Israeli post and global post work. Each buyer who pays on delivery, will receive a detailed email with the tracking number and a link to the tracking on the mail site accordingly.

About the vat, buyers from abroad can request to remove the vat with scan of their passport only! Dr Leopold Grafenberg b. 5 Oct 1878 Goettingen, Germany d. 16 Mar 1962 Jerusalem, Israel
Biography: I was born on 5 October l878 in Goettingen, son of the merchant Louis Graefenberg. After completing high school and six years studies in electrical engineering, chemistry, mechanical engineering, and physical and electrochemistry, I obtained a Ph.D. degree based on experimental work "Contributions to the Knowledge of Ozone" done at the Goettinger Institute of Prof. Nernst.
Thereafter I worked for a semester at the Institute of Prof. Moissan in Paris, France, about the synthesis and compounding of rare earths in an electric furnace; and for half a year in the Nernst Lamp Division of AEG in Paris, France as special engineer on field duty. After my return from Paris, France I worked for some months as private assistant to Prof. Nernst on alternating- current electrolysis, and also conducted critical experimental research on radioactive decay of ozone.
In the spring of 1904 I joined the Battery Works Gottfried Hagen in Cologne-Kalk. Here I first directed the scientific laboratory, and later also various operating divisions, as well as operating control of associated manufacturing operations: technical rubber components, lead products, homogeneous lead coating.
In the course of my 25 year activity with the firm I took part significantly in the development of storage- battery technology, particularly in the detailed design of starter, traction and airplane batteries. Numerous innovations, some of which were patented, resulted from my initiative. During this time I was active not only in technical operations but also also in business and management.
My business trips took me across the entire continent. I set up battery cartels both in France and Belgium. I also collaborated in the development of the alkaline nickel-cadmium storage battery, took it from research to the manufacturing stage, and after about 30 years effort successfully brought it to market. In addition I concerned myself with primary elements, carbon molecules, production of hydrogen and oxygen, potassium perchlorate, and questions of corrosion protection.
During World War 1, I was drafted in July 1915 as homeguardsman without prior service, even though up to that time I had been requisitioned by the Torpedo Inspection Service of the Imperial Shipyard Kiel to continue my work on batteries for submarines. After two weeks I volunteered to go to an engineer command at the west front, there was put in charge of an electric- power unit to which later were added a unit for hydrogen production, a repair shop for agricultural machines, and sawmills.
In August 1918 I was requisitioned by the Chief of Communications as a storage battery specialist and sent to an army communications depot. After my return from the field, at the end of 1918, I returned to my job with the firm Gottfried Hagen, Cologne-Kalk; in Spring 1927 I left this position after 25 years because of a change in general management, and took on the management of the Storage-battery works "Union" in Berlin, Germany.
In Autumn 1930 I accepted an appointment by the supreme Economics Council of the USSR as storage- battery specialist in Leningrad. There I worked as the director of the Technical Division, and later as deputy technical diector of the former Tudor Factory, as well as consultant at the central laboratory of the Storage Battery Trust. Further, I conducted the planning of various new storage-battery factories. Besides, I worked in a committee of foreign specialists whose task it was to participate decisively in the simplification of foreign operations.
At the end of 1932 1 gave up my work in Leningrad because of foreign exchange difficulties. After my immigration to Palestine in June 1933 I kept busy as a representative of foreign storage- battery manufacturers, as consultant in this field, as well as the evaluation of industrial works from a technical and economic viewpoint, the latter in part for the Jewish Agency under whose mandate among other projects I performed an assignment titled "Loan Studies'. I took over the direction of the newly founded Technological Department of the Division for Trade and Industry ol the Jewish Agency that had been authorized by the Zionist Congress of 1937.
