Janet Ament de la Roche (1916-2000), sitting woman, oil on masonite, signed, dimensions: 40.5x30 cm. * Janet Ament de la Roche (1916-2000) ) Was born in Hollywood, California, on December 31, 1916. She studied for the first time in Los Angeles at Otis and Chuenard art galleries, and when she studied at the Jepson Art Institute in 1947 she met the artist, Victor Di Gasso. They spent four years in Europe and studied in Paris at the Academy de la Grande Chumier and the Institut Andre Lot, and in Barcelona in Ascola de Bellas Artes de San Jorge, returning to California in 1956, 1988 continued to be active with Carmel Association and the local art scene until her death on April 15, 2000.
