Asher Ben-Israel (1887-1958) - Collection of letters and documents, 1940s and 70s, related to him and his family. Asher Ben-Israel (Bronfeld), a third generation of the sons of Safed, was born on May 29, 1887. He was educated in "Hadarim" and yeshivas in Safed, then moved to Jerusalem and completed his studies there, Safed, Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, where he left for France and received his doctorate at the Sorbonne in Paris, where he taught in Jerusalem, especially in Jerusalem. He began to write in the Second Aliyah press (mainly in HaPoel HaTza'ir) and since then has published articles and studies, all of which revolve around the world of secret and acceptance from this and the old Jewish community in Eretz Israel. Ben-Israel died in Haifa on May 19, 1958.
