Rare and Special! A document of a loan request of a Jew, Mrs. Melvina Hoetzler, from the branch of the Jewish Agency Office Berlin Office during the period of Nazi Rule, 1938. The loan is for the purpose of migration to the Land of Israel and in the document filled out are the details of the sum of the requested loan, the address of the applicant in Berlin as well as that she wishes to migrate to in the Land of Israel. The Loan Application Form sheet is signed with official seals and postal stamps of the Nazi regime. It is unclear whether eventually request got fulfilled and if the applicat indeed arrive to the Land of Israel following an approval. An interesting document! Size A4, meaning 29.5X21 cm. In good condition: two binder holes on the left side, light yellowing, mild wrinkling, minor stains. *Palestine - The Jewish Agency Office, was an intitution of the Jewish Agency for the Land of Israel during the first half of the 20th century, which was established with the leadership of Zionist Sociologist Arthur Rupin. He had a number of branches across Europe, among them Berin in Germany. The assignments of this office included reception of VISA travel clearances as well as subsidising immigration. In addition to the consulting centers established, foreign langugae courses in Hebrew were offered. In the year 1941 the organization was forced to cease all activies in the German Reich and the conquered areas, rendering impossible any Jewish assistance to the Jews in Europe and the lands of the Third Reich.
